| Pros | | Cons | - Simple interface
- Cheap bids starting at 0.01 pence
- Combines a directory with PPC results; free directory listing possible
| | - The name sounds like over-ripe fruit hitting tarmac
- Unknown traffic levels and quality; expect to be low
- Confusing; you bid using Splut's PPC programme for a higher placement in their directory
- It also shows Google Ad Sense adverts; looks to be trying to grab every penny it can
- No distribution network
- Quality of results questionable; unlikely to have loyal users
| | Recommendation "Not Recommended" - Splut has not developed significantly since we last reviewed it; there is no distribution network and the site is using results from two other PPC engines. The results half way down the SEPR page aren't clearly marked as sponsored listings. Backfill comes from Espotting, so if you are worried about getting listed on Splut, use an Espotting account or submit your listing for free to the directory. Want to list your site with Splut.com? |
